About

“I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees.”– Henry David Thoreau

Meghan has been a life long mark-maker, and animal lover.  At a young age her love of nature was apparent.  She spent her childhood summers playing in the creek along her grandparents property catching crawdads and stacking rocks - whenever there wasn't a pencil and sketchbook in her hands.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Columbus College of Art and Design with a focus on traditional mediums.
â€‹Beginning early in life, horses and the bridle trails of Ohio became a central focal point of her enjoyment of the natural world and subject of her art.  Moving through Ohio's diverse landscape and seasons on horseback strengthened her appreciation of our state and national park systems.

Today, Meghan enjoys gathering inspiration for studio work from exploring diverse wild spaces, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and the West coast.   When resources allow, she also hones her observational skills painting en plein aire closer to home, in Ohio.
