Inniswood Metro Garden is an arm of the central ohio metro park system, but what it makes it so unique is the cultivated gardens. Seasonal blooming ensures that there is something new blooming spring through late summer. There is no "bad" time to visit Inniswood.
From the Inniswood site:
"Nestled within a scenic nature preserve, the 123-acre Inniswood Metro Gardens is a source of inspiration for all ages. Streams and woodlands filled with wildflowers and wildlife provide a majestic backdrop to the beautifully landscaped areas. Inniswood boasts more than 2,000 species of plants, specialty collections and several theme gardens."
I first discovered Inniswood when my college ecology class made a field trip - and I was instantly obsessed. I've shot senior and family photos here, always imagined a wedding in the Rose Garden, and it's been my go-to "date" spot. I finally prioritized getting the paints out this summer with fellow painter friend, Dan. There is so much to see, its difficult to make decisions on where to spend your time and focus on. We will definitely make this regular spot in our rotation.
